Our Decking & Balustrade Paint is a tough, hard-wearing satin polyurethane resin paint designed to both seal and colour exterior timber. Perfect for decking boards, wooden balustrades, staircases, and fencing, this one-pack paint offers excellent protection and a beautiful decorative finish. It is suitable for ribbed, grooved, and smooth timber surfaces, making it highly versatile for all types of decking and outdoor woodwork.

Available in BS4800, BS381C, and RAL colour shades, it provides long-lasting durability, weather resistance, and enhanced protection against everyday wear and tear. For those looking for added safety, we also recommend our Timber Decking Non-Slip Paint for an anti-slip finish on garden decking.

Can I Paint Tanalised Wood?
Yes! Painting tanalised wood is a great way to enhance the look of your garden while adding extra protection. However, freshly treated wood must first be sealed with a suitable preservative, and care should be taken to follow the manufacturer’s instructions on drying times before applying paint.

Application & Coverage

• Apply by brush or roller

• For old/tanalised timber: thin first coat by 10–15% with Industrial Thinner, then apply second coat unthinned

• Coverage: approx. 13 m² per litre

Drying & Overcoating

• Drying time: 2 hours

• Overcoating time: 12 hours

Safety

• Use in well-ventilated areas

• Wear protective gloves and eye protection

• Avoid contact with skin or eyes

• Clean tools with Industrial Thinner

• Keep out of reach of children
