Thermoguard WallGuard Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat is a high-performance, water-based decorative finish designed to provide enhanced fire protection for walls and ceilings. Used as part of the Thermoguard Wallcoat system, it delivers both an attractive finish and certified fire performance, making it ideal for commercial, residential, and public buildings.
This advanced topcoat works by helping to suppress flame spread, reduce smoke emission, and limit the release of harmful particles in the event of a fire. When applied over Thermoguard Wallcoat Insulating Basecoat, the system can achieve BS EN Class B s1 d0 fire ratings, helping to meet building regulations and improve safety in high-risk areas.
Suitable for use on plaster, plasterboard, previously painted surfaces, and other common substrates, WallGuard is especially effective in refurbishment projects where upgrading existing surfaces is required without major preparation.
Available in Matt and Eggshell finishes, the coating provides a smooth, durable, and washable surface that can be tinted to a wide range of colours, combining safety with a professional decorative appearance.
