Thermoguard Timbercoat Insulating Basecoat Overview

Thermoguard Timbercoat Insulating Basecoat for wood is a durable & weather resistant paint providing fire protection to exterior wood surfaces. Apart from fire resistance, the Thermoguard Timbercoat has anti-virus and anti-bacteria properties.

If used with a suitable overpaint, this wood fire protection paint can achieve 30 or 60 minute fire resistance. When exposed to fire, this intumescent paint for wood expands and creates a barrier that insulates wood and prevent it from burning.

The Thermoguard Timbercoat complies with British Standard Class 1 and Class 0 Surface Spread of Flame. It has been fire tested and meets fire regulations standard BS EN Class B s1 d0.

Apply to a clean and dry surface. The product will dry in 4 hours and can be overpainted in 6 hours.
