This ensures a clean, professional finish while maintaining the coating’s intended performance and durability.

In addition to thinning, Teamac Thinner 17 is suitable for cleaning spray equipment, tools, and ancillary items. It effectively removes residual coating material, helping to maintain spray pattern consistency, prevent contamination, and extend equipment service life.

Thinning Use & Application

Teamac Thinner 17 should only be used with coatings that specifically recommend this thinner. Always consult the relevant technical data sheet before use.

• Spray Application: Typically add 5–20% by volume, depending on the coating type, spray equipment, and ambient conditions.

• Brush or Roller Application: Usually add 5–10% by volume to improve flow and reduce drag.

Add Teamac Thinner 17 slowly to the coating while mixing continuously until fully homogeneous. Begin with the minimum recommended addition and increase gradually as required. A small test application should always be carried out prior to full use. Over-thinning may adversely affect film build, coverage, durability, or final appearance.
