Plastisol | Metal Cladding Paint Overview

Plastisol Cladding Paint is a rapid-drying, high-performance, one-coat, anti-corrosive, self-priming low sheen topcoat. It provides a tough, flexible film with excellent adhesion to many difficult substrates. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, this paint is ideal for metal and plastisol cladding, plastic downpipes, and guttering. Available in a semi-matt finish, it offers long-lasting protection with up to 15 years of durability.

This paint is tough, weather-resistant, and provides good UV resistance. It is easy to apply and comes in a wide colour range, including BS4800, BS381c, and RAL shades, offering a cost-effective alternative to full sheet replacement.

Preparation

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, rust, and loose material

• Lightly abrade glossy or worn areas for better adhesion

• Remove any contaminants with a suitable cleaning solution

Application

• Stir thoroughly before and during use

• Apply using a brush, roller, or spray depending on the size of the project

• Apply thin, even coats for best coverage and durability

• Allow sufficient drying between coats (typically 30 minutes)

Drying & Curing

• Touch Dry: 30 minutes

• Overcoating Time: 4 hours

• Full Cure: Allow 24 hours for maximum durability and weather resistance
