Landrover Vehicle Primer Overview

Land Rover Vehicle Primer is a single-pack, fast-drying, high-build, modified alkyd zinc phosphate primer. This versatile coating provides excellent adhesion, corrosion protection, and resistance to undercutting from minor damage points, making it ideal for refurbishment and restoration projects.

It can be overcoated with our Land Rover Vehicle Paint to achieve a durable, high-quality finish.

PREPARATION

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, rust, and loose material

• Sand down any rough or flaking areas to create a smooth surface

• Remove dust and debris before application for optimal adhesion

APPLICATION

• Stir thoroughly before and during use

• Apply using a brush, roller, or spray system depending on the project size

• Apply in thin, even coats to avoid runs or pooling

• Allow sufficient drying time between coats for best results

• Typically, 1–2 coats are sufficient for standard coverage

DRYING & CURING

• Touch dry: 1–2 hours (depending on temperature and humidity)

• Recoat: After 2–4 hours

• Full cure: Allow 24 hours before applying topcoat or exposing to operational use

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Use only in well-ventilated areas

• Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eye protection

• Avoid contact with skin and eyes

• Keep away from flames, sparks, or sources of ignition

• Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children

• Dispose of unused primer and containers responsibly according to local regulations
