Our Garage Door Paint is a solvent-based coating designed for use on both metal & timber.
Based on a urethane modified resin system which provides a strong durable UV resistant paint film.
Selection of high quality pigments further enhances the properties by providing improved weathering resistance and light fastness of the coating.
Formulated for use on metal & timber garage doors the paint resists flaking and discolouration. For interior & exterior use.
A tough, durable & decorative finish available in 100;s of shades in a matt, satin or gloss.
For galvanised surfaces we recommend applying our Mordant Solution T Wash prior to application.
Prepare the surface & remove all loose & flaky paint.
Apply our Mordant Solution T Wash to your galvanised garage door. The surface will change to black (This is normal). Leave for 10-15 mins & wash your garage door with clean fresh water & allow to thoroughly dry.
Once dry, you may proceed to apply our Garage Door Paint.
We highly recommend cleaning paint brushes, paint rollers & spray equipment with our Industrial Brush Cleaner & Thinner available in 1 litre & 5 litres can sizes.

Went on easily enough. Good coverage. Needed 2 coats (on a fairly similar base col) to be perfect. Not particularly runny and no creep. Perfect colour match. Very pleased with it.

Paint sprays in perfectly. Roller or brush gives a really good finish also. Dont try and cover first coat. It is thin so will sag if not careful. Colours are a good likeness.

Really great paint. Colour matches door, nice and thick, so doesn't run. Three thin coats was plenty, probably could have got away with two but I'm fussy. Bought a 2.5L tin and it was enough to do a double garage door and a parcel box, and there is half a tin left!
