Our Boat & Barge Enamel Paint is a high-quality single pack, solvent-based coating designed specifically for use on all boats and barges. Formulated with a urethane-modified resin system, it provides a strong, durable paint film with excellent chemical resistance and a mirror-like gloss finish.

Enhanced with high-quality pigments, this enamel paint offers improved weathering resistance, UV protection, and long-lasting light fastness, ensuring your marine surfaces maintain their vibrant appearance even in harsh conditions.

For optimum results, correct priming is essential. On ferrous metals and GRP fibreglass substrates, we recommend applying our Boatguard Marine Primer to create a strong bond between the surface and the topcoat. This ensures enhanced durability and long-term resistance against rust, moisture, and abrasion. For non-ferrous metals such as aluminum or galvanised steel, first apply a high-performance 2K Etch Primer to promote adhesion and prevent peeling or flaking. Once cured, follow with a coat of Boatguard Marine Primer before applying the topcoat.

This system has been engineered to provide superior performance in harsh marine conditions, helping to protect against saltwater, UV exposure, and constant wear. Easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray, it offers excellent coverage and a smooth, even finish.

Preparation

• Ensure Surfaces Are Clean, Dry, And Free From Rust, Oil, Grease, And Loose Paint

• Sand Smooth Any Flaking Or Corroded Areas

• Apply A Suitable Primer If Additional Corrosion Protection Is Required

Application

• Stir Paint Thoroughly Before And During Use

• Apply Using Brush, Roller, Or Spray Equipment Depending On Project Size

• Apply Thin, Even Coats For Best Coverage And Gloss

• Allow Each Coat To Dry Fully Before Applying Additional Layers

Drying & Curing

• Touch Dry: 2–4 Hours (Depending On Temperature And Humidity)

• Overcoating Time: 24 Hours

• Full Cure: Allow 24 Hours Before Heavy Use Or Water Exposure
