2K Etch Primer Overview

Our 2K Etch Primer is a two-pack, translucent yellow, adhesion-promoting pre-treatment primer suitable for ferrous metals, galvanised steel, aluminium, and other non-ferrous metal substrates. It is chromate-free and formulated to provide excellent adhesion and surface preparation for topcoat applications.

The product is supplied as a 1:1 mix, with 2.5 litres of Etch Primer 'A' and 2.5 litres of Activator 'B', providing a total of 5 litres of ready-to-use primer. Quick-drying and easy to apply, this primer is ideal for automotive, industrial, and metalwork projects.

• Promote Adhesion For Subsequent Topcoat Paints

• Prepare Surfaces For Automotive, Industrial, And Metalwork Applications

• Use As A Base Layer For Matt Finishes

• Chromate-Free Formulation For Safer Application

Preparation

• Ensure The Surface Is Clean, Dry, And Free From Oil, Grease, Rust, And Loose Paint

• Sand Any Flaking Areas To Create A Smooth Surface

• Mix Primer 'A' And Activator 'B' In A 1:1 Ratio According To Instructions

Application

• Stir Thoroughly After Mixing The Two Components

• Apply Using Brush, Roller, Or Spray Equipment Depending On Project Size

• Apply Evenly In Thin Coats For Optimal Coverage And Adhesion

• Allow Sufficient Drying Time Between Coats

Drying & Curing

• Touch Dry: Approximately 15 Minutes

• Overcoating Time: 60 Minutes

• Full Cure: Allow 24 Hours Before Applying Topcoat Or Heavy Handling
